President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his support for Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s initiative to bring hundreds of Brazilian entrepreneurs to Indonesia during a bilateral meeting at Palácio do Planalto in Brasília. Prabowo welcomed the plan as a significant step to enhance cooperation between the two countries in trade and investment. He highlighted the common interests and economic potential shared by Indonesia and Brazil, emphasizing the need to translate signed agreements into real and beneficial collaborations. Prabowo also commended Brazil’s progress in agriculture and bioenergy, expressing Indonesia’s interest in learning from their experiences. Additionally, he appreciated Lula’s support for Indonesia’s plan to send technical teams to study Brazil’s innovations and agricultural technologies. Beyond the diplomatic discussions, Prabowo’s visit to Brazil coincided with the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, with Lula scheduled to reciprocate the visit to Indonesia in October. Prabowo concluded by mentioning a grand celebration planned for Lula’s upcoming 80th birthday in Jakarta.
