Apple TV’s recent acquisition of the exclusive broadcasting rights to Formula 1 in the United States has led to a collaboration with IMAX to showcase select races on the big screen. The first event to kick off this partnership is the Miami Grand Prix on 3 May, with tickets now available for purchase. The event will offer a watch party-style experience, featuring 15 minutes of pre-race build-up, uninterrupted coverage of the race, and post-race podium celebrations.
For those interested in attending the 2026 Miami Grand Prix at IMAX, tickets are priced at approximately $30 and can be purchased through the IMAX website. This collaboration between Apple TV and IMAX will allow fans to watch five races from the 2026 season on the big screen, including the Miami Grand Prix on 3 May, Monaco Grand Prix on 7 June, British Grand Prix on 5 July, Italian Grand Prix on 6 September, and United States Grand Prix on 25 October.
Apple’s vice president of music, sports, and Beats, Oliver Schusser, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “F1 is a rapidly growing force in sports and culture in the US, and by bringing F1 on Apple TV live to IMAX theatres nationwide, we’re delivering the energy and excitement to even more screens in a truly immersive way.” The current leader in the drivers’ standings, Kimi Antonelli of Mercedes, will be competing at the Miami Grand Prix at the Hard Rock Stadium, with his teammate George Russell following closely in second place.
