Jakarta – President Terpilih Prabowo Subianto expressed his pride and appreciation to three Indonesian athletes who have successfully won medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Through his official account on the X platform (formerly Twitter), Prabowo conveyed warm congratulations to Veddriq Leonardo, Rizki Juniansyah, and Gregoria Mariska Tunjung for their outstanding achievements.
In his tweet, Prabowo started by highlighting how extraordinary the moment was when the Red and White flag flew high and the Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, rang out in Paris. “It is an extraordinary pride to see the Red and White flag flying high and Indonesia Raya resounding at the Paris Olympics,” wrote Prabowo.
Prabowo gave special appreciation to Veddriq Leonardo who won the gold medal in rock climbing. Veddriq’s success not only made a new history for Indonesia but also showed that Indonesian athletes are able to compete at the world level. “Thank you for your extraordinary struggle, Veddriq Leonardo, with the gold medal in rock climbing,” he continued.
Not to be outdone, Prabowo also highly appreciated Rizki Juniansyah who successfully won the gold medal in weightlifting. Rizki, who is also known as a history maker in the sport, has brought Indonesia’s name back to the pinnacle of world achievement.
