President Prabowo Subianto recently visited former President Joko Widodo at his residence in Solo to discuss updates from his recent state visits to several countries, such as Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Belgium, and France. During the meeting, Prabowo shared details about the breakthroughs achieved, particularly in the negotiations on the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) with the European Union.
Accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Prabowo arrived at Jokowi’s residence and was warmly welcomed by Jokowi and First Lady Iriana. The meeting, described as cordial and relaxed, revolved around various current issues and highlights from Prabowo’s diplomatic tour.
Prabowo expressed gratitude for the positive outcomes of the international visits, highlighting the potential trade opportunities with Belarus. He emphasized Indonesia’s commitment to neutrality and peaceful cooperation on the global stage, showcasing the nation’s acceptance and respect among other countries.
During the meeting with Jokowi, Prabowo was joined by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Angga Raka Prabowo. Indonesia’s stance as a non-aligned country that seeks friendship with all nations, without interfering in domestic affairs, was reiterated by Prabowo to emphasize the country’s neutral and welcoming position on the international front.
