President Prabowo Subianto emphasized the crucial role of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) as the “child of the people” during the Operational Troop Review and Military Honors Ceremony in Batujajar, West Java. He underlined the TNI’s commitment to serving and defending the nation, stating that they are prepared to sacrifice their lives for the people. Prabowo also urged newly appointed commanders to lead with integrity and treat their soldiers as their own children.
Furthermore, Prabowo highlighted the TNI’s responsibility as the forefront in Indonesia’s defense, emphasizing a vision of defensive defense under the total people’s defense system. At the event, he appointed General Tandyo Budi Revita as Deputy Commander of the TNI and recognized several individuals for their dedication and integrity with honorary ranks and awards.
The ceremony also marked the establishment of new TNI units, including various Army, Navy, Air Force, Special Forces, Territorial Development, Marine Infantry, and Rapid Deployment Force units. A troop review showcased over 27,000 personnel and numerous tactical vehicles and defense equipment units.
Prabowo’s words underscored the TNI’s vital role in protecting Indonesia and its citizens, emphasizing the TNI’s deep connection to the people and commitment to safeguarding the nation at all costs.
